With the sunshine as a motivator, it can be much easier to start making some of those small changes that can seriously improve your health. Here are some ideas for easy ways to improve your health in the summer of 2015!
If you are a smoker, one of the best things you can do for your immediate and long term health and beauty is give up. In hot weather it is more important than ever to stay hydrated, so make a conscious effort to drink more water by keeping water with you throughout the day, and having water with meals.
Get More Exercise
Even if you are not overweight, a lifestyle lacking in activity can cause all kinds of other problems, including muscle weakness and bad posture. This summer, take advantage of the good weather and get outside and active more often – try for at least 30 minutes a day of walking, cycling, swimming, playing sports, or anything else you enjoy doing. The lighter evenings make it easier to get into good fitness habits you can stick to as the seasons change, and you will soon see improvements to your health and stress levels.
Get a Better Sleep Schedule
If you tend to skip sleep during the week and catch up at weekends, or take naps during the day, it can help you a lot to get a good, regular sleep schedule of 8 hours per night, waking up at the same sort of time every day. You’ll find it easier both to get to sleep and wake up, and you’ll feel energised all day!
These simple changes can have a big impact on your health, so use the summer to alter your habits and you will find it much easier to continue with good healthy living when the colder months come!
