Coronavirus exceeds 10 million infections and is close to 500,000 deaths worldwide


The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide has just exceeded 10 million, according to the John Hopkins University count, while the number of deaths is close to half a million.

According to this university, the global balance of the coronavirus amounts to 10 million cases and 499,124 deaths in 188 countries and territories. The total number of people recovered has already exceeded five million, with Brazil at the top of the list, with 727,715 people cured.

The United States continues to be the country most affected by the pandemic, setting a new daily record of 45,300 cases, bringing its total to 2.5 million people infected and 125,539 killed. Brazil remains in second place with 38,700 positive cases, a total of 1.3 million infections and 57,070 deaths. Russia remains in third position, with 626,779 positives and 8,958 deaths.
