Netflix has announced The Witcher: Blood Origin, a six-part mini-series that serves as a prequel to the main series based on the fantasy world created by Andrzej Sapkowski who so masterfully captured Projekt RED on his games.
Blood Origin will be set in an Elvish world 1,200 years before that of The Witcher’s world, and will tell a story lost in time: the origin of the first wizard and the events that lead to the crucial “conjunction of the spheres”, when the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged to become one.
Laueren Schmidt and Declan de Barra will be the executive producers of the mini-series, with the latter also acting as showrunner.
The Witcher: Blood Origin has no release date at the moment, in fact, filming has not yet begun. It will be start in the UK … soon.
